Book a demo

A few seconds at each dose. A clear record.

The Kwelio app is built around the Pop ritual: a reminder on your schedule, a photo when you can, and a confirmation. Redesigned for iPhone, it comes to the App Store in Q4 2026.

The new Kwelio app, Q4 2026

The Pop ritual

Three steps, once a dose.

The whole app rests on one small action. The reminders, the record, the score and the rewards are built on top of it.

  1. 01 · Reminder

    Get the reminder

Reminders follow your own schedule, one for each dose time. You set them up once.

  2. 02 · Pop

    Pop and confirm

Tap Pop, take a photo of your medicine when you can, and confirm it against your schedule. Assisted verification: photo capture with confirmation against your schedule; our computer-vision model is in training.

  3. 03 · Record

    Keep the record

Each confirmed dose joins your history. A dose log and a photo are a record, not proof that a medicine was taken, and the app says so.

Why it matters

The most expensive pill is the one we never took.

In developed countries, adherence to long-term therapy for chronic illness averages around 50% (WHO, 2003).

Inside the app

Smart where it matters. Quiet everywhere else.

The Kwelio app reads your medicine boxes on your iPhone, learns what each of your pills looks like, checks new medicines against its own knowledge base and looks for early signs that someone might need support. Each of these makes a suggestion. You confirm it, and your doctor or pharmacist has the last word.

  1. The app camera framing six pills and capsules laid out on a table

1 · PhotoAt Pop, take one photo of the doses on the table or in your hand.

  2. The photo in the app, with the note: Kwelio thinks it can see 3 of these. You confirm what you took. Two medicines are marked: in the photo, looks like your photo of it.

2 · SuggestionThe app sets the photo against your schedule for that time and suggests which medicines it can see.

  3. Logged. 6 doses with a photo. Your photo is in your record, confirmed by you against your schedule.

3 · Your confirmationYou confirm what you took, and the doses join your record with the photo.

Assisted verification: photo capture with confirmation against your schedule; our computer-vision model is in training. Screens from the app, with demo data.
  • Assisted verification

    Model in training

Each Pop can include a photo. The app sets it against your schedule for that dose time, suggests what it can see, and you confirm. Medication photos help train our computer-vision model, as the member terms set out.

  • Reads the box for you

    On your iPhone

Add a medicine by photographing its box, blister pack or label. The text is read on your iPhone with Apple’s Vision framework and the photo is not uploaded. The app suggests the medicine for you to confirm: a suggestion, never a check.

  • Knows your pills apart

    Always a suggestion

Photograph each pill once when your medicines arrive. With a reference photo for each medicine, the app can suggest which loose pill is which, even out of the packet.

  • Its own medicine knowledge base

    Built by Kwelio

Kwelio builds its own medicine database from reference drug data held offline, US prescribing information and UAE drug data, rewritten in plain words and put in UAE context. No live third-party feed sits behind it.

  • Interaction notices

    With a source line

When you add a medicine, the app looks at it alongside everything else on your list. Where prescribing information describes an interaction, you see a short notice in plain words with its source, and no confidence score. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before changing anything.

  • Early support

    Kwelio Intervention Score

For members who join through their health insurance plan, the Kwelio Intervention Score (KIS) looks for patterns that suggest someone might need support soon, so their care team can reach out early. Kwelio prioritises. Your care team decides. The method reached AUROC 0.88 on CMS DE-SynPUF (US Medicare synthetic claims), 2.1M de-duplicated records; its weights are set by experts today and will be refitted on the first real cohort. Data from other health apps never feeds the score.

A photo and a dose log are a record, not proof that a medicine was taken. Taking part, or choosing not to, does not affect your cover, your premium, or how any claim is handled.

In the app

Quiet by design.

  • Your scoreKAS shows how consistently you keep to your medicines, over a rolling 30 days. Supplements and as-needed medicines get reminders but no score.
  • Lio PointsEarn and own your points, redeemable for vouchers from your insurer or our partners. They stay quiet; your record comes first.
  • On your own or with your planUse the app by yourself, or through your health insurance plan if your insurer offers it.

Your data

Who sees what

The plain version. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.

You
Every dose you have logged, with its photo and time; your score and what moved it; your schedule, reminders and Lio Points.
Your insurer’s care team
Only if you join through your health insurance plan: your medication score and whether you might need support. Never your photos or daily logs. A reason for a missed dose only if you agree to outreach. Pregnancy is never shared.
Your cover
Taking part, or choosing not to, does not affect your cover, your premium, or how any claim is handled.
Where data lives
Member data is stored in Frankfurt, in the EU, with encrypted backups in a second EU region.
Photos
Medication photos help train Kwelio’s models, as set out in the member terms.
Stopping
It’s your choice, and you can stop any time.

Coming to the App Store in Q4 2026, for iPhone. The app supports, and does not replace, advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
